Richard Donalson is a qualified Personal Trainer and Pilates instructor with over 16 years’ experience in the fitness industry. This includes exercise prescription for both men and women of all ages ranging from beginners through to more advanced forms of training.
Raised in Central Scotland and moved to Edinburgh in 1997 to further his career in fitness beginning with a National Diploma in Health, Fitness and Exercise and gaining experience working in various fitness venues.
In 2001 he became degree qualified as a sports scientist and established his own personal training and fitness studio in 2008. He gained valuable business acumen and experience and over the years Richard has worked with a range of individuals and proudly claims that many remain customers to this day where he focuses on achieving new goals to aid their ever-demanding lifestyles.
From his own personal experience and the many years of tuition, Richard understands the importance of a well-structured fitness regime which is the foundation to running a successful Personal Training and Class Instruction business, now known as RD Fitness.
